Mr. Eagle is the owner of Sung Nagi Kici Okiju: Becoming one with the Spirit of the Horse, LLC and serves as the Tribal Historic Preservation Officer for the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.

Consultant agreement with Yellow Hawk Tribal Health Center, Yumatilla, Cayuse and Walla Walla Nation to develop a culturally based equine project combining the wraparound process and equine assisted learning to implement strength based, needs driven and unconditional care approaches to working with children and families.
Consultant agreement with the Fort Peck Assiniboine and Sioux people to develop a culturally based approach to the growing fields of equine assisted therapy and therapeutic horsemanship.
Consultant agreement with the Office of Public Instruction, State of Montana to implement the wraparound process and create systemic change with the Crow Tribe, Northern Cheyenne Tribe and Fort Peck Assiniboine and Sioux.
In 2010, co-founded the Northern Plains Equine Assisted Practitioners (NPEAP), a North Dakota State Non-Profit. The purpose of NPEAP is to promote the fields of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, Equine Assisted Learning, Equine Therapy, Therapeutic Riding, Therapeutic Horsemanship and the healing powers of the horse.
Developed the first ever Care Coordinator Certification to give Native Americans credentials to provide services and supports to children and families with complex needs, and to allow for third party Medicaid reimbursements through the State of North Dakota.
Served as a grant reviewer for the Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration.

He has over 23 years of experience consulting with tribal, state and federal child and family serving agencies. Jon is considered an expert on Systems of Care, the Wraparound Process, Cultural Competency, Leadership, Equine Therapy and Therapeutic Horsemanship. He has done numerous trainings at tribal, state and national conferences across the United States and Canada. He has served on numerous tribal, state and national advisory boards.
