We often talk about the effects of the Indian Wars, Forced Assimilation and Boarding Schools have had on our people but what we seem to have forgotten was how traumatic the loss of the horse was to our ancestors.

They knew and undestood the horse's abilities to affect people in powerful ways. The horse is like a mirror; they reflect back to us what we're sending out to the universe.
